We Are Covered

9 Dec 2000, Pr Rick Ferret

(Rick is Thornleigh's Church Pastor)

(Communion was held today.  A Communion service is held every 3 months.)

Main Thought:

The communion service is a symbolic rememberance of Jesus Christ's death that took place 2,000 years ago on a Roman Cross. For the Christian, this signifies the extent to which the God of the universe would go to find a solution to the problems of humanity. The Bible suggests that without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness of sin. In other words, if Jesus Christ had not died (the shedding of his blood) humanity would have been eternaly lost. This is something to think about!

It is because he died for each of us however, that we can be at peace in the knowledge that we are free because he died in our place.
