This is an unusual issue in that we have three Pastor's Pieces!

Since our church is not used on a Sunday, local churches have been happy to come to our facilities while theirs are being rebuilt or refurbished. The first was our near neighbour, the Maronite church. Then the Uniting Church across the railway line and currently the Pennant Hills Baptist church is using our facilities on a temporary basis.

As I was short of articles I wrote to them and asked if there had been anything in their church bulletins that would be suitable for this magazine. They quickly sent me five short articles. There were two on prayer from Pastor John Macindoe which I put together to make one article and a good one on mothers by Pastor Richard Tavender, which I have augmented to make it a little longer. He has checked and corrected my additions.

This will be the last Pastor's Piece by our local minister Pastor Sue Redman as she is moving to another church in the new year. In the Seventh-day Adventist church ministers are assigned by the local Conference office. It is unusual to have a change of ministers so rapidly but in their wisdom that has been done this year.

This issue is rounded off with another travelogue with a Christian message from John L Morris, and a first article entitled Fear by Isabel Tew who has adapted parts of an article by Pastor H M S Richards that was published long ago in the Signs of the Times magazine.
