Your Father is on the Way, Hold On!

One of the things I like to do to relax is watch a good movie. One of the movies that I enjoy is Lion King. I remember watching this movie many times with my children as they were growing up. There is one scene in the movie that speaks to me. The scene is set where Scar tells the hyenas to start a stampede of wildebeest in the Gorge as Simba is down there. Scar wants Simba killed so he can become King when his brother Mufasa dies.

As the stampede starts, Scar finds Mufasa and says, there is a stampede in the Gorge and Simba is there. Mufasa - like any father would - immediately leaves what he is doing and runs to help his son. Zazu - a red-billed Hornbill bird - who is also Mufasa's majordomo - the head steward or advisor, flies to Simba and says "your father is on the way hold on."

This picture for me, represents what life is like here on earth. There are many of us who are just like Simba. We get ourselves in situations where we shouldn't - a relationship that is toxic, debt that we cannot afford, places we should not frequent, websites we wished we hadn't clicked. We find ourselves in trouble and staring down the barrel of disaster. However, we don't have to let our circumstances define who we are. You see, your Heavenly Father is always there to help you. It only takes a prayer, a plea of help and He is there. Our Heavenly Father God is on the way to rescue you and I. All we have to do is hang on and believe!

Whatever circumstances you may find yourself in today, remember your heavenly father is on the way. Trust and believe in Him! He is always there to help You!
