Editorial
Welcome to spring, one of my personally favourite times of the year. We leave behind the chills of winter but we are not quite ready for the scorch of summer. This is the season of new beginnings and new life, as is every new day in Christ.
In this Edition
Our pastor, Cheonneth Strickland, also takes up the spring theme with some words of wisdom from Solomon, and encouragement to reboot our spiritual walk.
Lean on This - "All is Ultimately Under God's Control" - Annette Stafford
It is lovely to welcome back Annette Stafford to our on line magazine. We have enjoyed reading about her journey with God in past articles, and are so pleased to see a new instalment of her story. If you are new to the magazine, and have not yet read any of her other articles, look her up on the index, you won't be disappointed.
RUOK? Suicide Prevention
Thursday 12th Sept is national RUOK day. It is a time when we are reminded to touch base with our friends, family and work mates who may be struggling with life's highs and lows. The simple act of asking "Are you okay?" can make a world of difference. Your conversation could change a life. Jesus said " … Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40 (NIV).
In support of national RUOK day, we are including a YouTube link on suicide prevention in this edition.
If you have any concerns for yourself or a loved one, call for crisis support.
